(three) rural villagers enjoy preferential treatment prescribed by the local township (town) people's Government on the basis of the marriage certificate or reproductive health service certificate.

The workers who are married or late for childbirth are entitled to treat their wages, bonuses and other benefits according to their normal work while enjoying marriage leave, maternity leave and nursing leave.

   Jiangxi: marriage leave 3 days + late marriage 15 days =18 days


"Forty-second state workers, institutions, and all kinds of enterprise workers who marry or have late childbirth shall enjoy 15 days of increased marriage leave except for the holidays stipulated by the state. The increase of maternity leave for 30 days after childbirth will be given to the male for 10 days. Holiday wages and bonuses are issued and welfare benefits remain unchanged.


Peasants who practise late marriage and late childbirth shall be commended and rewarded by the local township (town) people's government, and the villagers' committee shall give priority to the homestead.


Late marriage in this Ordinance refers to the first marriage of a man at the age of 25 and the age of the woman at the age of 23. Late childbirth refers to the first birth of a married woman at the age of 24.

   Liaoning: marriage leave 3 days + late marriage 7 days =10 days
