Ex Factory Price Of Industrial Producers

In July 2020, the ex factory prices of industrial producers in China decreased by 2.4% year-on-year and increased by 0.4% month on month; the purchase prices of industrial producers decreased by 3.3% year-on-year and increased by 0.9% month on month. From January to July, the ex factory price of industrial producers decreased by 2.0% compared with the same period last year, and the purchase price of industrial producers decreased by 2.7%.

  

1、 Year on year changes in industrial producer prices

Among the ex factory prices of industrial producers, the price of means of production decreased by 3.5% year-on-year, 0.7% lower than that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex factory prices of industrial producers by about 2.56%. Among them, the prices of mining industry, raw material industry and processing industry decreased by 7.1%, 6.9% and 1.8%, respectively. The price of means of living rose by 0.7% year-on-year, 0.1 percentage point higher than that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of factory prices of industrial producers to rise by about 0.19%. Among them, the price of food increased by 3.7%, the price of clothing decreased by 1.1%, the price of general daily necessities decreased by 0.8%, and the price of durable consumer goods decreased by 1.6%.

  

Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the prices of fuel and power decreased by 10.8%, the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 8.9%, the prices of ferrous materials decreased by 2.8%, the prices of non-ferrous materials and wires decreased by 0.3%, and the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 6.8%.

2. Month on month changes in industrial producer prices

Among the ex factory prices of industrial producers, the price of means of production rose by 0.5%, the same as that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex factory prices of industrial producers by about 0.34%. Among them, the prices of mining industry, raw material industry and processing industry increased by 3.1%, 0.9% and 0.1%, respectively. The price of means of living rose by 0.1%, the same as that of the previous month, which affected the overall level of the ex factory prices of industrial producers to rise by about 0.04%. Among them, the price of food increased by 0.6%, the price of clothing decreased by 0.3%, the price of general daily necessities decreased by 0.2%, and the price of durable consumer goods remained unchanged.

Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the prices of nonferrous metal materials and wires increased by 3.0%, the prices of fuel and power increased by 2.5%, the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 1.4%, the prices of ferrous materials increased by 0.9%, and the prices of building materials and non-metallic materials decreased by 0.6%.
